(July 28, 2015, 7:40 p.m.) -- LBPD has issued the release text below regarding yesterday's (July 27) Wrigley area murder-suicide in which it says a 64 year old step-father shot and killed his 41 year old step-daughter, and then himself:

[LBPD release text] On Monday, July 27, 2015, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Long Beach Police responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Eucalyptus Avenue regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call, which resulted in the death of a male and female adult.

When officers arrived, they learned that a woman was in her home with her husband and her adult daughter. When her husband attempted to shoot her and her daughter, she fled the home and called police. Her daughter remained in the home and it was unclear if she had been struck by gunfire at the time.

Officers attempted to establish contact with the suspect by phone but were unsuccessful. Believing the daughter may have been shot and in need of immediate medical attention, officers entered the residence, extracted her, and delivered her to Long Beach Fire Department paramedics who were staged nearby. The victim had been struck in the torso by gunfire and determined deceased at the scene.

It was determined the suspect, who was within the residence, had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the torso and was also determined deceased at the scene by paramedics.

The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Tecia Robinson of Long Beach. The suspect has been identified as 64-year old Keenan Wynn of Long Beach. It was determined the relationship between the victim and suspect was step-daughter and step-father. They both resided in the home with the victim's mother. A motive for the shooting is unclear and the investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact Long Beach Homicide Detectives Peter Lackovic and Sean Irving at (562) 570-7244. Anonymous tips may be submitted by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or visiting www.lacrimestoppers.org.
