(July 12, 2017) -- LBPD says two suspects shown on surveillance videos and in screen saves below violently robbed a 62 year old woman walking in the area of Linden Ave./9th St. on May 10...and LBPD would like your help, and the community's, in identifying them.
In a release, LBPD says that at about 9:40 p.m. on May 10, two suspects approached the woman from behind.

LBPS says one of the suspects allegedly punched her in the face and she fell to the pavement. Once the victim was on the pavement, one of the suspects then began dragging her several feet. During the assault, one of the suspects took her cellphone.
Both suspects then ran from the area.
LBPD has placed surveillance videos on YouTube by LBPD. They show the victim walking and the suspects approaching here, here, and here and the suspects running from the scene here. In police-speak, this was an alleged strong-arm robbery. LBPD asks any residents or others who may have witnessed what took place to to contact Detective JJ Johnson at 562-570-5731. This crime occurred in the same9th/Linden neighborhood where in August 2016, a mother and her daughter were shot to death by a man subsequently identified and arrested by LBPD, charged by the DA with murder and subsequently found by a court to be be mentally unfit to stand trial.
