(July 1, 2017) -- Downtown Long Beach saw police activity in the midnight hour this morning (July 1), which LBPD doesn't believe was gang-related, when a man was stabbed in the 400 block of E. 3rd St.
LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Mark Coble tells LBREPORT.com that at about 12:37 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of E. 3rd St. regarding an assault with a knife...and found a victim with wounds that appeared to be potentially life-threatening...and at dawn, the victim was reported in critical condition. LBPD has detained an individual in connection with what occured, which doesn't appear to be gang related, Lt. Coble said. [Scroll down for further.] |
