Pan Am, Park Fatal Shooting: LBPD Timeline Of First Calls Received, First Officers Dispatched, First Suspect Description(s) Radio'ed To Field Units And First Units Arrival

(July 26, 2018, 4:55 p.m.) -- Responding to a request by LBREPORT.com, LBPD Public Information Officer Arantxa Chavarria provided the following answers regarding LBPD's response to the July 21 shooting (which became a homicide) in Pan Am Park.

  • (1) When did callers first report the shooting? Approx. 4:26 p.m.

  • (2) When were officers dispatched to the location? Approx. 4:26 p.m.

  • (3) When did units arrive at the location? Approx. 4:31 p.m.

  • (4) When was a suspect description (if any) transmitted to field units by police radio? We received multiple calls with variating descriptions but the initial one [was broadcast to field units] at approximately 4:27 p.m.
