(July 1, 2018) -- A midnight-hour shooting inside a residence in the Carmelitos Housing project (L.A. County-operated subsidized housing, north of Del Amo, west of Orange, 8th dist.) has become a homicide investigation as the victim, Imani Keith, 21, of Los Angeles, succumbed to her wounds.

LBPD says in a release that on June 28 at roughly 12:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Via Wanda regarding a shooting and located a woman (adult) with a gunshot wound; LBFD transported her to a hospital in critical condition...and she died that afternoon.

LBPD currently doesn't know the motive for the shooting and its investigation remains on-going.
