(June 12, 2004, updated 9:30 a.m. from 2:35 a.m. initial post) -- Eight people were shot at about midnight (Saturday morning) June 12 in the 500 block of Temple Ave.

Details are sketchy as we post.

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. David Cannan tells LBReport.com that multiple rounds were fired into a crowd, hitting eight people...five juveniles and three adults. None of the wounds appear life threatening at this time.

Presently, the suspect(s) is simply described as a four-door Caprice.

Police have reason to be believe what took place was gang related.
