(June 16, 2004) -- LBPD responded in force to the area of 53d St. and Atlantic Ave. and a lengthy manhunt ensued -- including SWAT and a police perimeter -- following an armed robbery to a business at roughly 8:20 a.m. today.

The LBPD perimeter extended from 52d-53d Sts. and Linden to Atlantic Aves. and continued until roughly 2 p.m.

LBPD says one suspect is in custody, and one or possibly two are at large as we post.

No injuries were reported. Anyone with information about these events is asked to contact LBPD.
