Councilwoman Gabelich Seeks One Member From Each Council District On "Airport Advisory Comm'n"
(June 13, 2005) -- 8th district Councilwoman Rae Gabelich has agendized an item for the June 14 Council agenda, seeking to have a member from each Council district on LB's "Airport Advisory Commission."
We post her agendizing memo verbatim below.

The Airport Advisory Commission is responsible for consulting with and advising the city council in formulating city policies regarding the development and
operation of the Long Beach municipal airport.
There are currently nine members of the Airport Advisory Commission, with the
only residency requirement that they live within the city at all times during their
service on the advisory body.
In the interest of ensuring a citywide representation on the Commission, I
propose that there be a commissioner appointed from each council district.
Recommended Action:
Request that the City Attorney prepare an ordinance changing the
membership of the Airport Advisory Commission to have one member
appointed from each council district.
