(June 1, 2005) -- A LBReport.com reader has reported polling activity being conducted on the subject of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and related issues.
The ELB resident (zipcode 90815) reported receiving a telephone call during the early evening on June 1 in which the pollster asked [questions roughly paraphrased below]:
- What national issues are you aware of? What local issues are you concerned about?
- Are you aware of the LNG issue?
- What kind of information have you heard? From where do you get your information and how often?
Rate your responses from strongly agree to strongly disagree:
- Do you favor building the LNG facility in the Port area? Are you aware the project would involve unloading one ship about every three days?
- Did you know the project would also involve the use of pipelines? Would you agree to have that in LB?
- If citizens of LB got a break on the price of natural gas, would that affect your view?
- Do you want the Port of LB to do an Environmental Impact Report?
- How often do you keep track of news? What newspaper do you read?
- Asks demographic info
We do not know for whom the polling was conducted.
Further to follow as newsworthy.
