(June 24, 2006) -- An accident at the busy Willow St./Los Coyotes Diagonal intersection on Saturday June 24 at about 8:00 a.m. left a vehicle on its side with the driver pinned inside...and LB Firefighters freed the driver by opening its roof.
(The red in the vehicle is plastic, not blood).
LBFD Public Information Officer Paul Rodriguez says the driver, a woman in her 40s, was safely extricated; initial reports indicate she suffered relatively minor injuries; LBFD Paramedics transported her to a local hospital for examination and treatment.
A second, smaller car was also involved, driven by a woman estimated to be in her 40s who also appeared to have relatively minor injuries. She was also transported to a local hospital for examination and treatment.
