(June 29, 2006) -- LB resident Bruce Tennant captured the digital photo below of a June 27 rocket launch from Vandenberg Air Force base (northern Santa Barbara county, Lompoc/Santa Maria area).

Mr. Tennant tells us he shot the photo just off 64th Place looking toward downtown Long Beach. The launch came at approximately 8:14 p.m.
