(June 18, 2009) -- LB City Attorney Bob Shanon has announced that he will seek re-election. In an emailed statement, City Attorney Shannon stated:

Today I am officially announcing my intention to seek re-election to the office of Long Beach City Attorney in April of 2010.

This will mark my fourth campaign, having first been elected in 1998 and re-elected in 2002 and 2006.

If re-elected, I intend to continue the tradition, commenced by my predecessors, of effectively serving the citizens of Long Beach by providing first class independent legal services to its appointed and elected City officials.
