Hit & Run Driver Allegedly Kills Pedestrian Crossing Anaheim @ Linden; Police Say Driver & His Passenger Allegedly Exited Their Vehicle, Approached Victim, Then Left

(June 10, 2012) -- A hit and run driver took the life of a woman walking across at Anaheim St. at Linden Ave. on Saturday night...and LBPD has a description of the suspect vehicle's driver and his passenger who allegedly got out of their vehicle momentarily, appoached the victim and then got back in their vehicle and drove off.
In a release, LBPD says the suspect vehicle is a black, 4-door Honda (unknown modeol) "which likely sustained moderate to major front end damage and a broken headlight. LBPD describes the suspect driver as a male Hispanic in his mid-20s wearing a white T-shirt. The passenger is described as a female Hispanic with shoulder-length hair. In a release, LBPD says offiers arrived at 9:51 p.m. last night (June 9) and found the victim lying in the roadway on Anaheim St. LBFD responded and transported the victim (a 51 year old San Pedro resident) to a hospital with serious injuries that she did not survive. LBPD's release states: The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect vehicle was traveling westbound on Anaheim Street when it struck the victim [the pedestrian].
