(June 20, 2012) -- Friends of Brian Beato's family will hold a fund-raiser -- including a live music concert and dinner -- on Saturday, June 23 from 6-10 p.m. at ELB's St. Cornelius Church (Wardlow Rd. at Bellflower Blvd., details below) to help pay funeral expenses for Mr. Beato, 15, a member of Millikhan High's baseball team, who was struck by a car along Spring St. in the El Dorado Park area.

The live music concert and dinner event will take place in the St. Cornelius Parish large hall and pavillion, 5500 E. Wardlow Road. The cost is $20 entry for dinner and music.

Organizers also plan a 50/50 and silent auction. "Volunteers and donations of gifts also are needed. Details are available by contacting Bridgette Flores at pbflores18@msn.com," says LBCC Journalism Prof. Patrick McKean.
