(June 29, 2012) -- The North Long Beach Community Action group invites LBC'ers citywide to the "Top of the Town" on Sunday, July 1 from 2-4 p.m. for its annual Celebration & Open House for a community BBQ -- with free burgers and hot dogs and a modest donation requested -- to support the grassroots group.
It takes place at the Historic LB Dairy and Creamery, 167 E. There are no membership dues for the Community Action Group and the celebration donation is...tax deductible." Mr. Pressburg notes that the NLB CAG was Neighborhoods USA 2008-2009 National Champion and Grand Prize winner, receiving national recognition as the first Long Beach neighborhood group to win the NUSA Neighborhood of the Year (2008) and first place in its category.
