Male (Age Pending) Is Struck, Killed By Car As He Allegedly Runs Across Spring St. Near Stevely Ave. in El Dorado Park Area

In a release, LBPD says that shortly after 9:30 p.m., officers arrived and determined that two male pedestrians [ages not indicated] ran north across Spring Street's eastbound traffic near Stevely Ave.; one of the pedestrians stopped on the center divider but police say they other pedestrian continued running into westbound traffic where he was struck by a 2004 Honda Civic.

The injured pedestrian was taken to a hospital but didn't survive; the other pedestrian ran from the scene, witnesses told police. The identity of the decedent wasn't released pending notification of next of kin.
