(June 14, 2012) -- In a development to a story LBReport.com reported a few days ago, LBPD now has a partial license plate and a more detailed suspect vehicle description and is asking for the public's help in identifying the driver involved in the hit-and-run collision that took the life of a pedestrian, Yolanda Archuleta, 51, of San Pedro, at the corner of Anaheim St./Linden Ave. on Saturday night (June 9).
LBPD says in a release that the suspect vehicle is a dark colored, 4-door, possibly Honda Accord, which likely sustained moderate to major front-end damage, with at least one but possibly two broken headlights...and has a partial license plate of "6DG_ _ 58." The driver was described as a male Hispanic in his mid-30's and wearing a white T-shirt. His passenger was described as a female Hispanic with shoulder length hair. LBPD says the driver and his passenger allegedly got out of their vehicle momentarily, appoached the victim and then got back in their vehicle and drove off. Detectives continue to follow-up on leads and are asking for anyone who may have any information regarding the identity of the driver or passenger, or on a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle’s description, is strongly encouraged to contact Accident Investigation Detective Brian Watt at (562) 570-7355.
