(June 28, 2013) -- The National Weather Service predicts Long Beach highs in and around the low 90s (coast) to mid 90s (inland LB) over the weekend.
As of Friday night, the NWS was predicting Saturday highs of 88 (90802), 91 (90815), 92 (90806), 93 (90808), 94 (90807). Caveat: The Weather Service updates and may change its predicted highs by a few degrees overnight. The Nat'l Weather Service says Sunday will be the hotter of the two days by a couple of degrees...BUT Weather.com and WeatherUnderground.com say the opposite. Go figure. Friday's high reached 90 degrees at Long Beach Airport...and it was more humid than usual (ranging from 56% in the noon hour to 40% when the temp peaked in the 4:00 p.m. hour). [Readers from the south, east and midwest scoff at this...and consider humidity in the 50% range an unusually pleasant summer day.]
