El Dorado Park Estates House of Horrors: Animal Care Services Says It Found Over 100 Cats In Vacant House

(June 3, 2014, 2:55 p.m.) -- Long Beach Animal Care Services (ACS) says it found over a hundred cats, for which it is now providing veterinary care, in a vacant house in the 3700 block of Marna Ave. in the El Dorado Park Estates area.
"Most of the cats were sick, non-responsive or underweight. Approximately half of the cats were kittens," a city e-notify dispatch said. [LB Animal Care services text] "These animals were suffering needlessly from lack of proper medical care," said Ted Stevens, Manager, Animal Care Services.
