(June 29, 2015. 5:15 a.m.) -- The third of three shootings within a two hour period on Sunday night (June 28) was a homicide just north of the East Village arts district and a few blocks northeast of downtown Long Beach: LBPD overnight watch commander Lt. Dina Zapalski tells LBREPORT.com that officers responded at 11:38 p.m. (eleven minutes after a WLB shooting) to a shooting in the 700 block of Linden Ave. Officers found a man (adult) with gunshot wounds; they attempted life saving measures but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. As separately reported by LBREPORT.com, a person was shot a few minutes earlier in the area of Admiral Kidd Park in WLB (Santa Fe south of 21st St.) And roughly two hours earlier, a man (adult) and a four year old boy were struck by gunfire in the 1100 block of E. 21st St. (6th Council district.) The boy suffered a graze wound; he and the man (who suffered a more serious gunshot wound) were transported to a hospital with injuries described as "non-life-threatening." [Scroll down for further.]
