(June 4, 2015) -- LBPD has released audio (link below) to what LBFD was told in an initial call on May 27 about what a caller saw taking place in an alley in the 4600 block E. 15th St. where 20 year old college student Feras Morad had jumped out of apt. window.

It's now known that CSULB-bound Mr. Morad, a scholarly and award winning debater. was with friends, when he ingested a hallucinogenic mushroom(s) and a tragic series of events followed...in which a responding police officer twice used a taser (one hit) and physical force before the situation escalated to a fatal shooting.

The LBPD released audio includes the initial call to LBFD and the call from LBFD requesting LBPD assistance (first part = caller and female LBFD dispatcher; second part - female LBFD dispatcher & male LBPD dispatcher.) LBPD replaced names and specific addresses with silence to protect callng party's identity.
