Return To Front Page
|(March 8, 2004) -- Acting on an anonymous tip from a community member, LBPD has successfully apprehended 23 year-old Jaques Fearence in connection with a murder he allegedly committed on February 20, 2004.
On Feb. 21, LBReport.com reported that LBPD considered Fearence armed and extremely dangerous...and when LBPD Detectives spotted him riding as a passenger in a car in the area of LB Blvd. near Esther St., he was allegedly in possession of a loaded handgun.
Suspect Fearence is being charged with the murder of a LB man, shot and killed during an argument in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Ave. (as well as now allegedly carrying a concealed weapon.) Fearence is in LB's jail on $2 million bail.
LBPD says its preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were involved in an argument...during which the suspect allegedly produced a handgun and shot the victim.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call LBPD Homicide Detectives Richard Conant and Robert Erickson at (562) 570-7244.
