ELB Alert, Further: See Composite Drawings Of Hooded Suspects In ELB Armed Robberies
(March 3, 2004) -- Following-up on a story first reported by LBReport.com on February 25, we post below composite drawings of suspects sought by LBPD in connection with a series of armed robberies that have occurred in the ELB area since November 2003.
As previously reported by LBReport.com, LBPD says that in most cases, the victims drive their vehicle to a driveway or garage and as they exit the vehicle, a lone, male suspect wearing a hooded sweatshirt approaches, armed with a handgun. The suspect demands money or property such as a purse or wallet, then flees on foot to a nearby vehicle where a second suspect is waiting.
The suspects have targeted men and women who were alone as well as couples. These robberies have occurred between 7 p.m. and early morning.
Police are encouraging the public to be more vigilant and to contact them if they see any suspicious vehicles or persons in their neighborhoods. The public should not attempt to contact these suspicious persons but to call 9-1-1, LBPD says.
