    Man Allegedly Shoots Girlfriend, She Survives, He Flees


    (March 7, 2004) -- LBPD alleges that this man shot his girlfriend in both legs in the presence of their 1 1/2 year old son and fled.

    Police are searching for Rudy Gonzales, 24, of LB in connection with the March 7 shooting at approximately 11:16 a.m. in the 1400 block of Chestnut Ave.

    LBPD says suspect Gonzalez and his girlfriend had an argument and were in her bedroom when he shot her. The woman was transported to a local hospital and survived.

    LBPD says Gonzalez, a LB resident, fled in his vehicle and is known to frequent the Ontario area. He's 5’7", 170 pounds, with black hair and green eyes.

    LBPD says he's a known gang member and "should be considered armed and dangerous."
