(March 10, 2006) -- The L.A. County Coroner's office says human skeletal remains found March 7 in the area of the southbound 405 freeway at Lakewood Blvd. are of relatively contemporary origin (not ancient)...and identification and gender are still undermined.
Coroner's Office says its investigation is continuing, but a precise identification of "Undetermined Doe #4" (4th undermined person of 2006) has not yet been made...and depending on what the investigation shows, it may never be.
As previously reported by LBReport.com, LBPD says the remains were spotted not far from a homeless encampment. The Coroner's office indicates it appears the bones may have been there for [caveat: preliminary, very rough estimate] about a year.
Further as it becomes available.
