(March 7, 2007) -- There has been another homicide in the area of Pacific Coast Highway at Pine Ave.
Details are sketchy as we post. LBPD says that on March 6, 2007 at about 10:38 p.m., LBPD responed to a "shots fired" call in an alley in the 1800 block of Pine Avenue.
LB police officers found a male, age 17. suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was deceased at the scene.
On January 3, 2007 -- in what LBPD PIO Jason Evas says was an unrelated crime -- two adult women were shot to death in the 1800 block of Pine Ave...one of whom (Tasha Brown) lived in the immediate area was a possible prosecution witness in the trial of a man alleged to have murdered her brother, fatally shot in the area of 14th St/LB Blvd. in 2005.
