(March 19, 2007) -- LBReport.com has obtained an email sent by a staffer in the Sacramento office of State Senator Alan Lowenthal (D., LB-SP-PV).

Tomorrow, the City of Long Beach will be taking a vote (hopefully to support), SB 974, however a local blogger, is attacking SB 974 and attacking Senator Lowenthal and is urging the City Council to oppose SB 974. 

 

The Senator is asking if any of your organizations (especially in Southern California) can attend tomorrow night's council meeting (Long Beach) and let the council know that your organization supports the bill.  This blogger (LB Report) also claims that this bill is an industry only bill, and that is does nothing to clean up the air.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.  It would be a bad start if the Long Beach City Council doesn't endorse SB 974.
