Audio Coverage Hear On-Demand Audio Of SE LB School Board Candidates Fielding Q & A From Lowell PTA Forum: School Boardmember/VP Jon Meyer vs. Challengers Karen Thomas Hilburn & Paul Crost
(March 21, 2008) -- LBReport.com provides on-demand audio of salient Q & A from the March 19 SE LB School Board candidates forum at Lowell Elementary School, sponsored by its PTA.

All three SE LB School Board ballot candidates attended: School Boardmember/Board Vice President Jon Meyer and his two challengers, Karen Thomas Hilburn and Paul Crost.
LBReport.com's audio coverage expands the event's reach from the confines of the auditorium's walls to on-demand access District-wide (and beyond).
Lowell PTA President Jacqui Viale quizzed the candidates, producing some noteworthy exchanges on the Wilson High federal Civil Rights lawsuit (judge ruled against LBUSD regarding equal gender access in athletics); the School District's use of consultants and candidate Crost's relationship with the Teachers Ass'n of LB (TALB).
Audio is in the on-demand MP3 format. Although we have the technical ability to provide CD quality sound, two hurdles prevented it at this event: the auditorium's speakers were near the ceiling where only Spiderman could get near them...and the candidates chose not the use the microphone.
The result is less than NPR fidelity...but still audible.
