UPDATE: LBPD Investigating "Undetermined Death" At Residence, 2800 block Studebaker Rd.

(Mar. 28, 2012, last updated 8:50 p.m.) -- Crime scene tape was visible at early evening (nearing dusk) on the west side of Studebaker Rd. -- 2800 block, south of Spring St. across from "Good Neighbor Park" [UPDATE] as LBPD investigates what is currently classified as an "undetermined death."
Preliminary info is provided by LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt LBPD responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Studebaker at approx. 6:10 p.m. to check on the well being of the residents. Officers discovered the body of a deceased male adult inside. LBPD was unable to determine identity or cause of death, which will both now be determined by the LA County Coroner's Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact LBPD Homicide Detectives Todd Johnson and Roger Zottneck at 570-7244. Anonymous tips may be submitted via text or web at www.tipsoft.com LBReport.com noticed that one of the cars parked in the driveway had a New Mexico license plate. LBReport.com has learned that Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske noticed that newspapers had been piling up, the lawn hadn't been cut and the like...and asked code enforcement to look into things; LBPD discovered a deceased man at the location thereafter. Councilwoman Schipske said this was obviously a very sad situation but noted that it shows the importance of advising code enforcement so authorities can follow-up when things appear amiss. Further as we learn it.
