(Mar 24, updated from breaking.) -- A flashed on LBREPORT.com
earlier today on our front page, a 2.7 magnitude earthquake rattled ELB/Los Altos at 3:05 p.m. USGS image, right. The USGS longitude/latitude puts epicenter SW of Palo Verde Ave./Willow and north of 405 freeway
USGS says the quake was roughly 5.6 miles deep. By 4:30 p.m., the quake had drawn 118 responses to the USGS "Did You Feel It" website from zip code 90815 and 61 from from nearby 90808, all reporting it lightly felt. As a general rule, there's always a chance in the hours immediately following most quakes that it was a "foreshock," preceding a bigger quake. That chance diminishes over time.
