(Mar. 22, 2014, 3:05 p.m.) -- Within the noon hour Saturday Mar. 22), a southern Bixby Knolls area business became the victim of an armed robbery, while in Central LB a person became the victim of a "strong arm" robbery, losing a chain to a suspect who fled on a bicycle.

At about 12:25 p.m. today, officers responded to the area of Long Beach Blvd. just north of Wardlow Rd. regarding an armed robbery to a business. The suspect is a man (adult) who was armed with a handgun. The business lost cash. The suspect is outstanding at this point.
At about 12:25 p.m. today, officers responded to the area of Walnut Ave./Anaheim St. regarding a "strong arm" robbery [physical force, not a gun or knife used.] Officers found the victim of a chain snatch. A male suspect (age uncertain) fled on a bike...and is also outstanding at this point.
