(March 22, 2015, 1:15 a.m.) -- A woman was shot on Saturday night (Mar. 21) in the 5900 block of Orange Ave. (just north of South St.) in North Long Beach.

Initial information is sketchy. LBPD Public Information Officer Claudia Lopez tells LBREPORT.com that at approximately 11:35 p.m. (Mar. 21) officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of Orange Ave. regarding a hit shooting.

The victim was a woman (adult) and LBFD transported her to a hospital. There's no immediate suspect information. LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
