(March 27, 2015) -- On Saturday Mar. 28 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services will hold its second annual Foster Care & Adoption Expo at LBCC's ELB campus -- 4901 E. Carson St., Building E, Nordic Lounge -- to provide information on becoming a Foster Parent, or an Adoptive Parent or a Weekend Host. The event is an opportunity for Long Beach area adults to learn how they can have life-changing impacts on a child...(which will likely bring life-changing effects for the adults as well.) The mission of the agency's Adoption and Permanency Resources Division is to recruit, study, prepare and support foster and adoptive families who can provide healthy, stable, loving temporary and permanent homes to children that can not safely live with their birth parents.
