Six Suspects Arrested And Charged re July 4th NLB Murder

(March 20, 2015) -- LBPD Homicide Detectives cracked the case, and in a two day operation in various cities, six suspects were arrested...and the L.A. County District Attorney's office has filed the charges below regarding the July 4, 2014 NLB murder of Kayon Dafney, 24...whose body was found in an alley in the 6400 block of Gardenia Ave. after a "shots fired" call.
In a release (text below), LBPD says a "lengthy and thorough investigation...revealed the shooting occurred over an on-going gang dispute."

[LBPD release text] -- This week, charges were filed against six individuals in connection with the July 4, 2014 murder of 24-year-old Kayon Dafney of Long Beach, who was found by police in an alley in the 6400 block of Gardenia Avenue after responding to a shots fired call.
After a lengthy and thorough investigation, which revealed the shooting occurred over an on-going gang dispute, a 2-day arrest operation took place on March 12 & 13, 2015. Six suspects were arrested in various cities throughout the region.
This week, Homicide detectives presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which resulted in the following charges being filed:
