UPDATE: LB Got About 0.44" Rain In First Of Two Storms; Sunday Will Be Breezy w/ Wind Gusts Up To 35 mph, Then More Rain Monday, Possibly With Thunderstorms

(UPDATED Mar 6, 2016, 7:30 a.m.) -- Long Beach received a little less than half an inch of rain overnight and into Sunday morning -- 0.44" recorded at LBCC's ELB weather station as of 7:45 a.m.

For the rest of Sunday, the National Weather Service is forecasting showers before 10 a.m., then breezy with a west wind of 15-25 mph...and wind gusts up to 35 mph.

Then on Monday, some more rain:

  • Monday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Wind gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

  • Monday Night: 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm. Gradual clearing. Wind gusts as high as 20 mph.
