| (Mar. 5, 2016, 3:35 p.m.) -- Nearly 1,000 SCE customers (accounts) -- likely meaning at least two times that number of residents -- along LB's Peninsula lost power for nearly 80 minutes at late afternoon/early evening Friday (Mar. 4.)
A number of LBREPORT.com readers reported the outage to us in real time (appreciated, thank you); in most cases (including this one), we don't report power outages until they're over. SCE spokesman David Song tells LBREPORT.com that power along the Peninsula went out at 5:03 p.m.; power was restored at 6;22 p.m.; the cause of the outage was some type of equipment failure and no details are immediately available.
