Councilman Webb Says If City Mgr. Doesn't Have Schedule For Agendizing Report On Airport Developments & Land Use (Sent to Mayor & Council & Posted On LGB's Web Site) "My Constituents & I Will Make a Decision on Whether It's Appropriate To Agendize The Report And Bring It Back for Public Discussion"

(May 1, 2003) -- In response to a inquiry from LBReport.com, asking why Councilman Rob Webb had not agendized a city management report on LB Airport area land use and developments -- requested by Webb's own motion Feb. 11, sent to the Mayor and Councilmembers on March 31, posted on LB Airport's web site on roughly April 8 but not returned for Council and public discussion --Councilman Webb told us the following today by telephone.

Councilman Webb indicated it is standard protocol for city staff, not Councilmembers, to agendize staff reports. Councilman Webb said he had not yet spoken to Acting City Manager Gerald Miller about whether Mr. Miller intends to agendize the report, but Councilman Webb said he plans to do so in the coming week.

Councilman Webb indicated that if Acting City Mgr. Miller doesn't have a schedule for agendizing the report, "my constituents and I will make a decision on whether it's appropriate to agendize the report and bring it back for public discussion."
