(May 17, 2004) -- ELB residents saw several LA TV news helicopters hovering over ELB's LBCC campus roughly between 11 a.m. and noon on May 17. LBPD responded after a man who'd been told he had parked illegally refused to move his car, allegedly indicated he had an explosive device...and had nothing.

LBPD closed part of Carson St. for a time. The man was taken into custody without incident.
