(May 4, 2006) -- Veteran LB talk show host (and CSULB Prof) Art Levine has made Charter Cable's televised Mayoral forum (Foster v. Colonna, taped April 27, their first encounter following the April 11 primary) available on-demand, 24/7 via his www.straighttalktv.com website.
As previously noted by LBReport.com, the website makes robust use of the internet, making archived editions of previous Straight Talk shows (independently executive produced and syndicated by Levine) available on-demand, 24/7.
The Mayoral forum was separately produced by Charter Cable (which asked Levine to host the show)...and until now, it could only be seen in the LB-Signal Hill area by Charter Cable TV's subscribers.
In using www.straighttalktv.com to post the one-hour program, Mr. Levine has made the televised Mayoral forum accessible citywide (and potentially worldwide) via the internet.
[LBReport.com comment: Kudos!]
Viewing the show does require a "QuickTime" Plug-In (that many people already have) and probably works best for those with high-speed/broadband connections.
The special program will also continue to be televised on Charter Cable Channel 3 each Monday at 5:00 p.m. through June 5, the day before the showdown runoff election.
