(May 9, 2008) -- A woman was robbed at gunpoint at midafternoon Friday (May 9) in a store parking lot at 6290 E. Pacific Coast Highway, not far from the ELB Marina bridge.

Initial information is sketchy. LBPD Public Information Officer Jackie Bezart says officers responded to a call that came in at approximately 3:00 p.m.

The victim indicated that she was confronted by a person with a gun who stole her purse. The armed robber wore some type of hooded garment, she said.
