(May 8, 2008) -- A WLB drive-by shooting in the area of Silverado Park wounded a young adult on Thursday (May 8) at about 6 p.m.

Initial information is sketchy. LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Dina Zapalski says multiple calling parties reported hearing gunshots; officers responded and found that a drive-by had in fact occurred.

The victim, a male in his early 20s, was transported by friends to a hospital with NON-life-threatening wounds.

At early evening, LBPD patrol and gang officers were investigating.
