(May 13, 2008) -- A Lakewood "Subway sandwich" store on Del Amo Blvd. just of Bellflower Blvd. was robbed at gunpoint on Monday night (May 12) shortly after 10 p.m.
L.A.S.D. Lt. Daniel Waidner says the suspect was described as a white male adult, wearing a black beanie, grey hooded sweatshirt and ski mask...and allegedly stole $60 before fleeing on foot.
Lt. Waidner says Sheriff's have taken note of the fact that this is the third armed robbery of a "Subway sandwich" store in their area...and the suspect in the two other robberies was dressed in similar fashion.
On April 22, a "Subway" in Lakewood on Paramount Blvd. was robbed, and on April 23, a "Subway" in Bellflower on Bellflower Blvd. was likewise robbed.
