In a May 10 release, the Huntington Beach Police Dept. says the fatal crash occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on Bolsa Chica Street south of Tasman Drive. HBPD says its preliminary investigation indicates that a 1973 Ford Bronco was travelling north on Bolsa Chica St. approaching Tasman Avenue and its driver, a 20 year old woman, allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the center divider. The Broncho was also occupied by a 7 month old baby girl.

HBPD says the Bronco collided with a 2000 Honda Civic, driven by Abraham Perez, 30, [who the OC Coroner's office identified as a Long Beach resident] which was travelling south on Bolsa Chica Street.

The driver of the Bronco received minor injuries; the baby suffered severe injuries, and Mr. Perez was pronounced deceased at the scene, the HBPD release says.

HBPD says no arrest or citation has been issued at this time, its investigation is ongoing, and it's seeking witnesses regarding this collision. "Anyone who saw the collision or who has information is encouraged to contact Officer Barr at 714-536-5666.Long Beach man killed in 3-car crash in Huntington Beach."
