(May 8, 2015) -- The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) still has spots left for Saturday's 2015 Electric Lawn Mower Exchange Program. It's an oppportunity to exchange your [SCAQMD website text] "old, operable gasoline-powered lawn mower and purchase a new electric cordless lawnmower" at a discounted price." This year, SCAQMD will have "six models to choose from at discount costs ranging from $100 to $250 depending on the model choosen" The event takes place Saturday May 9, from 8 a.m. to noon at ELB's Vets Stadium (Clark @ Conant) BUT you MUST REGISTER to make sure you'll get in. The Registration deadline is 11:59 p.m. Friday night (May 8).and there were still spots available as of mid-afternoon Friday.
