(May 20, 2016, 9:45 p.m.) -- Within a little over a week, two regional unions plus some entities and individuals with LB involvements added $40,000 to a total sum we unofficially estimate now exceeds $200,000 for the political committee supporting a Mayor/Council desired sales tax increase (Measure A) to 10% (currently 9% in Signal Hill/Lakewood and 8% in most OC cities) that current and future Councils could spend on any general fund items they wish.
