At Midafternoon, Man Walks A Block South of LBCC's PCH Campus, Waving Gang Signs, Shooting Gun Into Air; He's Gone Before Cops Arrive

(May 15, 2018) -- LBPD confirms that at midafternoon Saturday May 12, a male (unclear if adult or juvenile) walked along the 1700 block of Gundry Ave. (about south of PCH and LBCC's Central LB campus) flashing gang signs while firing a gun into the air.

LBPD Public Information Officer Arantxa Chavarria says a car was struck by the gunfire. Officers recovered evidence of the shooting; LBPD's gang detectives responded and the investigation is ongoing.
