(November 12, 2001) -- LBPD reports that on November 11 at roughly 2:50 a.m., a man was shot and killed in a restaurant parking lot in the 1600 block of East Anaheim Street. The site is in the 2d Council district where it borders the 6th district (which is across the street).

Police say two men were involved in a verbal altercation in a parking lot when one of the subjects allegedly produced a handgun and shot the other.

The victim died of his injuries and has not yet been identified. Police describe the suspect only as a male Hispanic who fled the location on foot.
