News Truck Brakes, Load Shifts, Falls Onto Parked Cars
(November 3, 2006) -- A truck applied its brakes hard to avoid some kind of sudden traffic problem and its load shifted and fell onto two parked cars in the area of Atlantic Ave. and Burnett St.

LBFD Public Information Officer Will Nash says it happened on Friday Nov. 3 at about 4:30 p.m., triggering an LBFD and LBPD response. Fortunately, no people were in the cars at the time [!] and no one was injured...but the parked vehicles didn't fare as well.
PIO Nash says a crane was called in to lift the very heavy load off the cars.
