(Nov. 26, 2006, a.m. posting) -- Three 17 year-olds -- two girls and a boy, non-LB residents -- were wounded in a weekend shooting outside ELB's Heartwell Park Golf Course (6700 block E. Carson St., between Palo Verde Ave./Studebaker Rd.).
Details are sketchy as we post. LBPD Public Information Officer Jackie Bezart says there was a party at the golf course; some sort of verbal altercation occurred (currently unclear if between party-goers or others who showed up); security asked those involved to leave; while in the parking lot, shots were fired.
The three shooting victims were taken to hospitals with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
