  • (Nov. 22, 2009) -- LBReport.com is terribly saddened to report the passing of Janet Deats, who fought a lengthy, courageous battle against cancer.

Mrs. Deats passed away in the early hours of this morning (Nov. 22).

Husband John says the couple was married for 40 years. "We complemented each other very well," John said. "We complemented each others' talents by our strengths and weaknesses." Known for his own analytical skills, John said Janet could "run rings around me."

Mr. and Mrs. Deats were Grand Marshals at the 2006 Los Cerritos/Virginia Country Club Neighborhood Parade (photo above).

Janet reached her 69th birthday two weeks ago. She will be laid to rest in her hometown of Comer, Georgia in accordance with her wishes.
